You get the weapon proficiencies by adding the bard in! You won’t be casting crowd control every turn so having a stronger offhand attack is pretty solid but I see your points! I didn’t have shield proficiency with this character

All the warlock spells were ones you can’t get as bard

@@JasonDunna I had some of the issues I listed building for myself and Wyll before because of those oversights like taking spells that’s were redundant, not picking a race that gave any good bonuses outside of darkvision, as you’ll already have medium armor proficiency from bard level 3 and if you build this for duelist prerogative it can be a truly devastating cc dpr monster. Taking great old one would be great if not for some of the fire spells you get from fiend. Shield is definitely recommended for 1st and 2nd act as flourishes are so good and being able to pact your weapon means you can wield anything in the game with no issues .

@@JasonDunna psychic lol 😂 but have been thinking of changing one of my playthroughs to a bard multiclass for diolouge it's either bard paladin or bard warlock 😂

Sword bard doesn’t get shield proficiency, and since I was playing a drow here I don’t get the racial one. Great for humans or half elf’s though! Thanks for sharing that

Sword bard gets medium armor proficiency

Dex counts for armor class and hit chance, so I imagine for that purpose

@michae976 that's a very common misunderstanding of the Hex spell. Hex only affects ability checks, not saves nor AC, ect. Just skills such as athletics, acrobatics, and investigation for example.

Have you ever played Crypt of the necrodancer? It’s a roguelike game (so same frustration of dying repeatedly like souls games) but it’s also a rhythm game. Pretty interesting concept

@@JasonDunna I haven't played any roguelikes in general, so Crypt of the Necrodancer is not one I got to play. Don't mind watching others suffer through them, though. 👍

I’m thinking for Elden Ring I’ll use a controller for movement and camera, but the dance pad for attack, dodge, parry, spell, etc. It don’t think it would be possible to move with the dance pad and attack/dodge hahaha. The dance pad is not super high quality so there’s high chance of pressing the wrong button

@@JasonDunna it doesn’t even trigger the fight again if you go back, it gives you the option to use the machine again so basically infinite shells and as long as you don’t close the game it stays like that apparently lmao

@@alexmashkin863 Conjure elemental and globe of invulernability are both incredible. I took wizard because it also gets grease to set up fire surface!

@@alexmashkin863yeah all of those don’t require high intelligence! It’s nice to have a bit of versatility. You can go without the level of wizard and just take barbarian

You’re right and I talk about that in this video, what’s great is this build works amazing alongside a lightning/cold sorcerer since you can set up water easily with the 3 spells you can cast per turn

@@Kenshiman123you can use mage hand to throw oil or use a grease scroll as there is a ton of them in act 1! It doesn’t require high INT to cast

Great point! BUT it’s way better to get the Nyrulna and the band of the mystic scoundrel, two of the best items in the entire game
